  | White Tie Affair www.thewhitetieaffair.com latest CD: Walk This Way
The members of The White Tie Affair have musical A.D.D. Every thing they hear, touch and see influences them. The White Tie Affair is an adventure into pop, exploring many different styles and sounds. Whether it be sung, strummed, or programmed, you can bet they have tried to make it work. Front man Chris Wallace explains that the goal of the band is to “communicate their love for different kinds of music to anyone who wants to listen.”
Growing up in Chicago, the group started piecing together sounds - everything from Stevie Wonder to AFI to The Police and came up with original, catchy songs. The White Tie Affair finally unveiled their musical work, playing shows all over Chicago. Their home city continues to greet them with open arms as the band has sold out the Beat Kitchen and has been main support for Lucky Boys Confusion at the annual reunion show at the Metro.
It only took a couple of months before Slightly Dangerous/Epic Records took notice and the band signed a deal in 2007. Since then, The White Tie Affair has toured extensively across the country, playing one hundred + shows, garnering press and die-hard fans alike. “We are living the life we always heard rock bands talk about when they were starting out … the band in a van, playing great venues in a different town every night,” says guitarist Sean P. “This is the life we always wanted."
The White Tie Affair’s debut album Walk This Way, released on April 22, is a soundtrack for the iTune... [ read more] |

"These guys may think they are nipping at the heels of Fall Out Boy, but pretty soon they'll be standing next to them!"
-Campus Circle
The last year has been a huge year for Marysville, Michigan natives Every Avenue and with their upcoming release "Shh. Just Go With It" hitting store shelves this winter, they show no signs of slowing down.
"Hopes and dreams and memories, you can't take away from me!" sings David Ryan, lead vocalist for the pop-infused rock sensation Every Avenue. The band has just finished another inspired, energetic performance and tonight, like every other night they have graced the stage, the crowd simply wants more. This reaction is becoming increasingly more common everywhere that Every Avenue goes, and that is not limited to shows. The band is being recognized in malls, restaurants, even on the highway; and rightfully so.
Forming in 2003 and self-releasing their first self-titled record later that same year, the mid-western quintet have had a positive outlook on the music scene since day one. "We try to stay fun and energetic and do it differently than other bands," says drummer Michael Govaere. In an industry that some say has gone bleak and dark in the last year, Every Avenue keeps fun and enthusiasm in their music, their live show, and most importantly, their attitude. After every set the band plays you will always find the boys talking and interacting with their fans. "We have always pushed ourselves hard to make a on... [ read more] |
| Stereo Skyline myspace.com/stereoskyline latest CD: Stereo Skyline (2009)
Stereo Skyline is a three piece power-pop band based out of Long Island, NY. The band consists of Kevin Bard (lead vocals/ guitar), Brian Maddox ( bass), and Rob Michelsen (drums). Through catchy melodies and heartthrob lyrics, the band has found themselves growing nationally into teen hearts as well as onto their myspace pages. “If we are having fun singing it, you should have fun hearing it” says Kevin. “There is just too much negative music floating around.”
Kevin and Rob have played together for a while but It wasn’t until the summer of 2008 when they had met Brian out on the road and realized that he is the perfect fit for this project. The relationship between the band extends far from the stage which can be easily seen at all times. Most compare the relationship to as that of three brothers as these guys pretty much spend all their time together.
Each one of these guys has a special personality that helps fans connect with them on a daily basis. "The best thing about being in a band is getting to relate to the people who love your music" says Brian. They each have such an outgoing personality while being overly humorous. They love to interact and talk with every single person they meet creating a special relationship with every fan. “For me to be playing drums in a different state every night and seeing just one person singing our song with a smile on their face makes me feel like my job has been accomplished” says drummer Rob Michelsen.
